Gemma has helped people learn to speak more expressively and with a better tone, and has also helped radio presenters with vocal techniques.

Gemma can help by teaching you breathing and breath control skills to support speech and clarity. Diction exercises to help strengthen your articulators. Vocal sirens to make you more aware of your range. Help you explore your different vocal registers. Teach you exercises to help release tension and make you realise the full potential of your speaking voice. Gemma will show you how to speak using dynamics, projection and expression, and also guide you on posture and body language. Gemma can help you speak with more expression ,emotion and a better tone!

Did you know that most people only speak with about 3 pitches - when we each have at least a 2 octave range to our voices?  Gemma can help you discover your full range, and therefore use as much of it as possible in speech.

A vocal presentation lesson will be tailor made to suit your needs. If you have a specific request then please let Gemma know. Please bring along any materials you need to work on (monologues, scripts, poems, stories, presentations etc). Please print the material out onto A4 paper, so that it's possible to make notes directly on to the sheet/s.

As part of the lesson, if you wish, Gemma can record your voice before and after to show you the progress you have made.
